Australia and Liverpool FC Women’s defender, Meikayla Moore scored a hat-trick of own goal in the space of the first 36 minutes of the game to hand the United States (US) Women’s National Team (USWNT) a 5-9 win over New Zealand in the 2022 SheBelieves Cup at the Dignity Health Sport Park, Carson.

Meikayla Moore, unfortunately, put the ball into the back of the net in the fifth and sixth minute respectively before scoring another own goal in the 36th minute to extend USA lead to three.

Ashley Hatch increased the American lead to four in the 51st minute while she assisted Mallory Pugh for the fifth goal in the 93rd minute.
