2023 World Cup Qualifiers: Norway Put Ten Goals Past Helpless Armenia

Former World and European Champions, Norway Women’s national team recorded a 0-10 win over Armenia in its sixth Group F game of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers on Wednesday.

Norway had won all but one of its previous games being a goalless draw with Poland.
Armenia on the other hand is yet to pick a point or score a goal in five previous games conceding 36 games in the process.
Elisabeth Terland scored two goals in the space of three minutes in the first half to open the tap of goals for Norway before Guro Reiten set up Lisa-Marie Utland for the Norwegian third goal in the 43rd minute.
Seven more goals were conceded by the Armenia side in the second half as Frida Leonhardsen-Maanum, Guro Reiten, Lisa-Marie Utland, Anja Sonstevold, Guro Bergsvand, Celin Bizet Ildhusoy, and Ingrid Syrstad Engen completed the rout.
Norway with 16 points from six games occupy the first position in Group F ahead of Belgium (13 points) and Poland (11 points).

The former Olympic goal medalist will be facing Kosovo next year when the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers resume.

Costa Rica defeated Nicaragua 5-2 in an international women’s friendly match on Wednesday.
Costa Rica had to come from behind after Josseling Beerios had given Nicaragua the lead in the 44th minute.
Goals from Lixy Rodriguez Zamora (brace) and Michelle Montero gave Costa Rica a 3-1 lead before Yessenia del Socorro Flores Rivas scored Nicaragua’s second goal.
Maria Paula Salas and Gabriela Guillen Alvarez scored two more goals for Costa Rica to make it 5-2.
Both sides will meet again on December 3, 2021.
