A brace from Dudinha in the 91st and 124th minute sealed a 3-1 win for Brazil.
They will battle it out against North Korea or Austria in the quarter final.
With a Round of 16 finish in their first-ever appearance at the tournament, Cameroon will return home with pride while Brazil continue their quest to win the competition on Colombia.
