The Crew, who defeated LAFC in the MLS Cup 2023, is aiming to follow Tigres UANL as the only other team to win successive Campeones Cup titles.

Club América is vying for their first championship after falling to Atlanta United, 3-2, in 2019. Club América won both the 2023 Apertura and 2024 Clausura LIGA MX seasons, making them the automatic Campeón de Campeones champions.
