According to several reliable sources, they’ve now picked François Modesto as their new Technical director, a choice that was also approved by Comolli. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Old Lady has chosen the Frenchman, whose last role was with Monza in the same capacity.

He is also a former footballer who played for the Bastia, Monaco, Cagliari and Olympiakos in his career. In his new role, Modesto will assist Comolli and coach Igor Tudor in managing the first team’s daily operations once his appointment is made official.

According to a separate report, he could also have a role in the Bianconeri’s scouting activity as Comolli said in his unveiling press conference in June that he would hire a new technical director and a new sporting director for the 2025-26 season.

The former Toulouse executive has already overseen their transfer operations so far this summer, signing Jonathan David as a free agent from Lille. They were recently eliminated from the Club World Cup by Real Madrid and will begin the pre-season on July 24.

Ahead of the upcoming season, their first Serie A match will be against Parma at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on August 24. In a related development, it looks like there is an opposing future for the duo of Kenan Yildiz and Nico Gonzalez at the club, according to reports.

The latter is not part of Juventus’ plans unlike the former, according to a report from Tuttosport. They hope to receive an offer from the Middle East in the coming weeks for the Argentine winger who was signed in the last summer transfer window for €33m from Fiorentina.

It was a paid €8m loan plus an obligation to buy for €25m but the player has struggled to justify his price tag so far, scoring just five goals and providing four assists in 38 appearances across all competitions in his first and only season in Turin.

The idea is to sell Nico on a permanent transfer this summer with a price tag of €30m and they’re aware that such an offer is more likely to come from Saudi Arabia especially, than from the Bundesliga or the Premier League, where the player would prefer.

It is no secret that he has admirers in the German and England but proposals from these countries are likely to be loans with an option to buy while the Old Lady are hoping to use that fund to further strengthen their squad by retaining Francisco Conceiçao and sign Jadon Sancho.

Furthermore, the club will reportedly meet with Kenan Yildiz’s entourage next week to discuss a contract extension, while Bayern Munich and Barcelona are the latest clubs to join the race for the Turkish talent, who has gone from strength to strength since arriving in 2022.

Even with the number of changes currently going on at the club, they’re very much determined to keep the youngster and they’re now prepared to offer their No. 10 a contract extension. So far, several clubs, including Chelsea and Arsenal, have recently been linked with him.

Furthermore, his family have reportedly met super-agent, Jorge Mendes in February to discuss a possible summer exit from but Yildiz is more than happy to stay and has become a key player under Tudor with his excellent performances in the Club World Cup cemented his central role in the team.

Now, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, both Barcelona and Bayern Munich have shown interest in the 20-year-old in recent days, but Juventus will not listen to any offer and will instead open talks over a new deal to fend off the interest in the Turkish international.

For the La Liga champions, they could even offer long-time Juventus target Ronald Araujo in a possible swap deal for Yildiz, but the Bianconeri have clear ideas and want to tie down Yildiz to a new deal even if his current contract in Turin runs out in 2029.
