More Details
According to the report, the Partenopei will have to sell a player if they’re to bring in a new signing and even if they haven’t sold any player yet, the club’s management is still going ahead in their pursuit of transfer targets, but due to their condition, they’re very limited in their spending.

Consequently, the Naples-based club have identified Youssef En-Nesyri as one of their main targets in attack, and they’re expected to intensify talks with the Moroccan striker and his club Fenerbahce after today’s AFCON Final as they continue to deal with the absence of Romelu Lukaku.
According to the report from Corriere dello Sport, Fenerbahce are open to discussing a loan move for the Moroccan centre-forward, but they will demand at least €5m for a temporary transfer until the end of the season if the player can find an agreement on personal terms with the club.
Napoli have also set their sights on Roma striker Evan Ferguson, but his departure depends on whether the Giallorossi will get further reinforcements in attack after welcoming Robinio Vaz and Donyell Malen and for En-Nesyri, he has scored seven goals in 15 appearances in the Turkish league this season.
He has made six appearances in the 2025 AFCON with the Morocco national team, all as a substitute but still, he’s an important part of the squad that reached the final with the hope of lifting the trophy on home soil, in front of their fans today when they face Stadio Mane and Senegal.
In a related development, Kobbie Mainoo played the full 90 minutes in Manchester United’s win over Manchester City on Saturday, a sign that Napoli’s hopes of landing the England midfielder could already be fading after reports has linked him with the club over the past few weeks.
After the recent sacking of Ruben Amorim as manager, the 20-year-old started his first Premier League game this season, a 2-0 win over their city rivals and was praised by new Manchester United coach Carrick before and after the game for his impact in the win that took them into the top four.

“Kobbie Mainoo is a fantastic player, he has huge talent, he has huge ability. He has played in some unbelievable nig occasions and coped with it. I am looking forward to seeing him thrive.” Carrick told Sky Sports UK before kick-off as he handed him a surprise start in the midfield.
After the match, as reported by the BBC, Carrick told reporters: “Kobbie was great alongside Casemiro. Between the two of them, it gave us a foundation.” It is no secret that Napoli are long-time admirers of Mainoo, as the Partenopei were already in talks to sign the 20-year-old last summer.
For transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, he reported earlier this week that Manchester United were reluctant to discuss the midfielder’s sale this month as they wanted to make assessments with their new coach, Carrick and the latest update seems to suggest that Carrick has already put trust in Mainoo.

This means that Napoli will likely be forced to look elsewhere for midfield reinforcement as Mainoo himself also shared his first United-related Instagram picture since October, posting an image of himself alongside Carrick and Mason Mount walking inside the Old Trafford tunnel with a caption that read: “Believe that.”
