AC Milan could sign Puig

Riqui Puig could be set to join Italian Serie A giants, AC Milan in January according to rumours coming out of Italy.
The 21-year old La Masia product has struggled for game time under Ronald Koeman this season, having appeared in La Liga for just eleven minutes so far. He had reportedly been informed at the start of the season by the Barcelona manager that he would not be part of the club’s plans for the season but a move away from the club last summer could not materialize.
It is now reported in Italy that AC Milan could bring in the midfielder as early as the first week in January when the winter transfer market opens. The deal is expected to be an initial 18-month loan deal which could include an obligation to make the move permanent for around 13 million euros.
AC Milan are short in midfield after an injury to Algerian midfielder, Ismael Bennacer left them with just two central midfielders, Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie for two central midfield spots. A move for Puig could prove beneficial for both player and club as it would ensure more playing time for Puig while AC Milan gets to add some much needed depth.
