They are continuing to explore other options in their pursuit of a new striker and Roma’s Tammy Abraham has entered the running, according to a report from Tuttosport. The main issue holding the Zirkzee operation is with the commissions requested by his agent Kia Joorabchian, reported to be at around €15m.

While the club is looking to bring it down to under €10m. With no agreement in sight, and the growing interest from EPL clubs, Manchester United and Arsenal, they might need to close the deal soon, or risk missing out on their number one target.

Already, Milan have the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Jonathan David and Santiago Gimenez as backup options, and now Abraham has been added to the list. The report further added that It was the Roma management who proposed the English forward.

This is because they are looking to complete some sales that can then finance there transfer plans, while Abraham could reunite with his close friend Fikayo Tomori. The former Chelsea striker has missed most of this season due to the serious injury suffered on the last day of the 2022-23 season (rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee).

Hence, there remain doubts about his physical status given the significance of the problem he had. The upside of this deal for Milan would be high Ily beneficial on the economic front, compared to the deal for Zirkzee.

First of all the cost of the operation is lower, given the transfer fee would be around €25m and Abraham’s salary would be €4.5m net with the Growth Decree applicable. It would also mean that they will have a more physical presence in attack, more than they would have had with Zirkzee.

Minteh plays primarily on the right wing rather than as a centre-forward, but can also work on the left or in a deeper support role. While Roma are interested, the asking price is believed to be around €30m, with Everton, Borussia Dortmund and Olympique Marseille already interested.

Minteh is set to turn 20 next month, but already has two goals in five senior caps for Gambia. Considering Roma owners the Friedkin Group are in the process of the takeover of Everton, it is possible they could buy him for the Toffees and loan him out, or the other way around.
