Consequently, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to be at Milan‘s training ground during the international break to bring unity and trust back to the squad. The Rossoneri’s second Serie A defeat of the season was marked by behaviours that once again questioned coach Paulo Fonseca’s stewardship, such as the dismissal of Theo Hernandez (the captain), and the chaos over the team’s penalty takers.
Following such disruptive events, the club’s senior advisor will be at Milanello in the hope of restoring the team’s serenity by talking with the players and ensuring them his support.Zlatan Ibrahimovic will visit Milanello during the two-week international break after recent scenes undermined the serenity of the team during Milan’s away loss against Fiorentina.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, his presence at the Rossoneri’s training ground will be key to ‘talking to the group’ and bringing ‘trust’ back. Notably, Ibrahimovic is expected to talk to his former teammate (Tomori and Hernandez) but the former Rossoneri star will also give his support to other players who won’t be on international duty.
The likes of Davide Calabria, Emerson Royal and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, as well as sharing views with Fonseca, who already lost four games as Milan manager across all competitions. In a related development, Monza’s Daniel Maldini could become the first player in his family to join one of Milan‘s biggest Serie A rivals.

This is after the duo of Inter and Juventus reportedly monitoring the 22-year-old, who just earned his first call-up with Italy. Maldini’s name has been historically linked with the red and black colours as Daniel’s grandad Cesare spent 12 seasons in the Rossoneri’s shirt between 1954 and 1966 before Paolo also became a club legend by playing for Milan his entire 25-year footballing career.
However, after coming through the Rossoneri’s youth ranks and making his debut for the senior team, Daniel Madini was left free to leave the club. Following two temporary stints at Spezia and Empoli, the Italian forward joined Monza on a loan deal, which became permanent last summer, and his recent form has attracted interest from several clubs in Italy.
According to Tuttosport, Inter’s interest in Daniel Maldini became evident when their sporting director, Piero Ausilio, was spotted at the U-Power Stadium to attend Monza’s home clash against Roma. Maldini was reportedly one of the two names on his list, alongside midfielder Warren Bondo, as the Nerazzurri are considering providing Simone Inzaghi with a further and more versatile offensive option to add unpredictability to their attack.
At the same time, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Juventus are also keeping an eye on Maldini and could consider making a move for the youngster in case Monza accept to sell him during next winter’s transfer window, even if the youngster would prefer to follow in his family’s tradition and play for the Rossoneri.

In a comforting follow up, the report further added that Milan have an ace up their sleeve that could potentially jeopardise the player’s move towards one of their rivals. The deal that saw Maldini join the Biancorossi included 50% of the profit from his next sale as well as the Rossoneri’s right to match any other team’s offer, which means that they could decide to bring him back to the club at a much cheaper price.
