The coming summer transfer window could take a whole new dimension for Italian giants, AC Milan as they try to navigate their contract renewal talks with one of the leaders in their dressing room, amidst a strong interest from a top European club.

More Details

The Rossoneri have reportedly set a price in mind for Theo Hernandez as they hit a roadblock in contract renewal talks with the Bayern Munich Target. The Frenchman has continued to be one of the best players in the Rossoneri squad, proving himself to be one of the strongest left backs in world football.

With just over two years left on his contract, the club find themselves in a difficult spot. Milan do not want to start the new season without resolving the situation but have struggled to find common ground with his entourage.

The high salary presents a stumbling block to a new long-term deal. According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, the 26-year-old wants his current salary to be doubled in a new contract, keen to see his wages rise from €4m net to €8m net per season plus add-ons, a hefty sum for the club.

The Rossoneri are not willing to match that request, so would be willing to let him leave this summer for around €80m. Bayern Munich are seriously interested as they look to find a possible replacement for Alphonso Davies.

Should a transfer happen in the summer, the club will have some extra funds to spend in the summer to strengthen the team, as they reportedly have about €100m to spend for their incoming manager, Paulo Fonseca and the exit of Theo Hernandez will almost double that.

Milan are in the market for a new central defender ahead of the summer window and they have a ‘dream’ name in mind, according to a report from Tuttosport. There is a lot of talk about the centre-forward that Milan will sign but among the priorities of the management is also the arrival of a new central defender.

Not only that, but Geoffrey Moncada and his team are searching for a player who can come in and start. Alessandro Buongiorno – the captain of Torino – is the dream that they have in mind, having tried for him during the January window too. However, there are also other teams like Inter and Napoli that are keen on signing the Italian.

And the club from Naples might have a big budget given that the sale of Victor Osimhen seems to be a certainty at this stage. The report goes on to state that Jakub Kiwior could be an alternative name to keep an eye on. The Arsenal defender was previously a target for the Rossoneri when he played for Spezia but he decided to move to the Premier League.

He has not nailed down a starting spot with the Gunners and thus there might be more willingness from all parties to discuss a move back to Serie A for the Poland International.

For the attack, they could have a clearer path towards Joshua Zirkzee after Arsenal reportedly reached an agreement to sign Benjamin Sesko while Chelsea is only focused on Victor Osimhen, but they will have to contend with the interest from fellow Serie A clubs for the former Bayern Munich forward.
