AC Milan Want Chelsea Midfielder To Replace Brahim Diaz But They’re Not Alone In His Pursuit

It’s a rebuilding process for Chelsea coach, Mauricio Pochettino as he looks to start his reign in the right way, but first, there’s the matter of offloading some players to trim the squad to match their status as a club that isn’t competing in Europe.

While several players have already left, especially those on loan, Ngolo Kante has already agreed to move abroad while Mateo Kovacic is being touted to join Manchester City in the summer.
But it doesn’t end there, names like Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Carney Chukwuemeka, Trevor Chalobah and the likes will also need to find a new club, whether on loan or in a permanent move.

Several Italian clubs are already positioning themselves to take advantage and for AC Milan in particular, they’re most likely to come away with at least one Chelsea player this summer, whether on loan or in a permanent move.
Previously, they were linked with Loftus-Cheek, but it looks like their focus has now shifted to Chukwuemeka instead, better known as Carney. After failing to convince Youri Tielemans to make the jump to Serie A, they presented a €3m net per season offer to Tielemans.
But the Belgian decided to stay in the Premier League and join Aston Villa, forcing the Rossoneri to look around for alternatives, who have started gearing up to make a move on an alternative to the Belgian and Carney ticks the right boxes.
Chelsea would prefer to send the player out on loan and it could work in a similar way that the Brahim Diaz deal went. He spent two seasons on loan with the Rossoneri and he has now been recalled back to the Santiago Bernabeu to be part of the team for next season.
The young midfielder is liked by the new people in charge for the Rossoneri his technique and tactical flexibility, making him one of their top targets for this summer. The hope is to pick up the 19-years old on a loan deal with a buy option attached, while Chelsea would prefer a dry loan.
According to reports from Italy, another Italian club, AS Roma are also interested in the player after missing out on Tielemans too. The report also states that Jose Mourinho did contact Tielemans and he could try the same with Carney to get ahead of the competition.

Newcastle United have emerged as a serious option for unwanted Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire and a move to the Magpies would make sense for all parties involved, if they can agree on a reasonable fee.
This season, the England defender has played less than he would have wanted despite being the captain and with his place in the English national team at risk, a move away from the Old Trafford is his best option if he wants to start playing again.

So far, no top club is willing to take the risk on him and give him the needed exposure. After making it into the top four, Newcastle United would require a larger squad to prosecute all their matches for next season.
Maguire could be a good squad player and could even nail for himself a first team shirt if he can show the level of performance that made Manchester United splash a record fee to sign him in the be first place.
