The Head Coach of Equatorial Guinea’s senior men’s national team, Juan Micha is not letting his side’s 1-1 draw with one of the favourite, Nigeria go into his head as they put up an impressive performance in their opening Group A game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) at the Stade Alassane Ouattara, Ebimpe, Abidjan.

"Playing against a huge team like Nigeria showed that we are just starting our journey. We are in a phase towards the future. We are at the beginning of the phase. I can's give you the result of the future.

"I beleive that this team that I am leading have been preppared on a daily basis to be up to the task. We would have the opportunity." He concluded.

The Nzalanag Nacional will face Guinea Bissau in the Guinea derby with the aim of getting the first win of the campaign on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
