Despite advancing as group winners and defeating Tanzania in the round of 16, the tournament favorites have been panned for a perceived lack of aggression.

While Regragui has urged fans to remain humble, many observers remain unimpressed by the team’s conservative style of play.

During a pre-match press conference, Regragui noted that while the team feels the pressure, their confidence hasn’t wavered.

“We are still thinking the same way and have confidence in what we are doing,” he told reporters.

“The players feel it, and we know we have to live up to it. The ‌most important thing is that the fans continue to support us.

“We have the humility to believe that we can win this Cup of Nations,” he said.

“It’s a tournament that requires staying grounded, even if people do not want to understand that.

“But when you see the results and all the strong teams that have progressed, then you realise what you are up against.”

Morocco faces a historic rival in the upcoming match, recalling their 1988 semi-final exit at the hands of Cameroon. Team selection remains uncertain as defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabat battles to return from a two-game injury absence. However, the squad receives a boost with the return of forward Hamza Igamane, who is back in contention after missing the first two weeks of the tournament.
