Despite Ajax’s recent problems, the 18-year-old defender has been brilliant and has won their prized Talent of the Year title.

The youngster, who can play left or centre back, has already made 61 appearances for Ajax. In the previous season, he played 46 times across all competitions.

Hato, who is only 17 years old, earned his first cap for the Netherlands last year and has already made his debut on the international scene.

EPL clubs are reportedly interested in the Dutchman due to his remarkable growth; Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly particularly interested.

Hato claims he is not going anywhere, so if they were planning a relocation this summer, they will both be unhappy.

‘No, I’ll just play for Ajax next season,’ the defender told AjaxLife of his immediate future. “I haven’t finished learning here yet. And I want to win prizes with Ajax. That was my dream when I came here.’

According to reports, Premier League clubs have approved the introduction of a development plan that will curb spending beginning with the 2025–2026 season.

The spending cap proposals were approved by 16 teams, and their goal is to keep the gap between the Premier League’s lower-half teams and its financial titans from growing.

Nevertheless, a report from BBC Sport claims that three teams vying for European football—Manchester United, Manchester City, and Aston Villa—are thought to have voted against the proposal.
