The record saudi and Asian champions have identified Simone Inzaghi as the ideal coach to lead the team back to success.
After news of a meeting first broke last week, the Blues have since been making efforts to close the deal.
According to Ben Jacobs, a meeting is scheduled with Inter as regards the Italian manager.
Inzagh has been at Inter for four years where he’s won the Scudetto and reached the Champions League finals twice.
A salary of £50m covering two years has been prepared for the former Lazio manager to make the move to the MiddleEast.
As part of the initiative, it’s also being reported that Bruno Fernandes is close to agreeing a deal with the club.

Fernandes seems to have agreed to the £200m three year offer from Al Hilal and will soon meet with the club to iron out final details.
The Portuguese midfielder has been a bright spark in Manchester United’s struggles on the pitch.
It would be a massive double swoop for Al Hilal should both deals be completed write the start of the Club World Cup.
