Klopp had backed a group of Liverpool fans who made their displeasure known about the allocation of tickets for the final.

Klopp said last week: “It is absolutely not right, but it happens everywhere. It doesn’t make it better, just in this specific case you are not only paying more than last time for a ticket, but you only get 50 per cent of the tickets and the rest goes to people who pay thousands and thousands for the tickets.”

The head of the governing body has now come out to clarify in details how the sharing of the ticket works.

“I explained the same thing to one of the coaches of the two (finalist) teams a couple of days ago and I can do it here. I explained it to him a bit more and took much more time because I went through every single number.

“From the revenues from the finals, UEFA gets 6.5 per cent and 93.5 per cent goes to the clubs. From the other matches 100 per cent of the revenues goes to the clubs. Fans of both teams get 20,000 tickets each. If sponsors that pay 100 or more million euros sponsorship – of which 93.5 per cent goes to the same clubs – get some tickets, it’s part of a contractual obligation that we have.

“UEFA doesn’t get more tickets than the others. Some tickets go to the market, some tickets go to the fans and some go to the partners. It’s not UEFA. I’m not giving tickets for free to my friends or selling to my friends. It’s the system that works, and clubs couldn’t function differently.

“For us, not much will change if all the tickets will be 10 euros, but it will change a lot for the clubs. A lot.”

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will face Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League billed to take place in the French capital of Paris later this month.

Former Premier League champions with Manchester United Paul Parker has slammed interim coach Ralf Rangnick for making a scapegoat out of Aaron Wan Bissaka.

The English right back has lost his place to Portuguese fullback Diogo Dalot under the stewardship of the German coach.

Wan Bissaka has only played seven of the last 24 games for United while losing each of his last three starts for the club.

United’s season has been dubbed the worst in Premier League history and the England international’s season has just been bad as his club’s.

His arrival from Crystal Palace in 2019 for £50m raised a lot of eyebrows and the 24 year old Croydon born fullback has yet to live up to expectations with many competitors denning his attacking contributions to the team.

Parker has however pointed at Ralf Rangnick as making the dreadlock wearing player as a scapegoat.

“Because after what’s going on at Manchester United, in the way the press talks about him, he’s been made a little bit of a scapegoat, to be perfectly honest. If I look at it, is (Diego) Dalot a better player than Wan-Bissaka? No, he’s not,” Parker told MyBettingSites.

“No way, all-around, you’re better off with Wan-Bissaka there (at right-back) than with Dalot, cause when you look at some things first and foremost you want a right-back who can defend and they haven’t got that.”

A summer move away from the club could be on the cards for Wan Bissaka with Atletico Madrid reportedly interested and Parker has urged him to seize the opportunity as it would be perfect for him.

“If he is gonna go to Spain, which is more technical and help improve him, go to play for Atletico Madrid. The one thing that Atletico Madrid would love about him is that he ain’t gonna need much coaching about how to defend in one against one,” Parker added.

“He would learn a little bit more about unity within a back four in a traditional sense. Hopefully, he won’t come back too ill-disciplined, cause there’s always a chance when you go and play for Atletico Madrid for (Diego) Simeone. The way they play.

“But I think if it is going to happen, it will serve him well to go there and maybe to come back. It might be a really good move for him just to go on and play in that league. Maybe it will be a good learning process for him.”
