Atlético de Madrid plans for the upcoming 2024/25 campaign remains well oiled after the Metropolitan club confirmed the signature of Norwegian forward Alexander Sørloth alongside Euro winning defender Le Normand with more confirmations expected before the transfer window closes as their aging squad re-shape hits full gear.

Robin Le Normand has joined Atlético de Madrid and signed a contract that will tie him to the Club for the next five seasons with the Euro 2024 winner who joined from Real Sociedad expected to lead and strengthen the backline following the exit of Mario Hermoso and few veterans.
He is known for his physical prowess, ball-playing skills and strong defensive interventions thanks to his 187 cm frame, a player which undoubtedly suites Diego Simeone’s playing pattern.

Copa del Rey champion with Real Sociedad, the 27-year-old defender scored six goals in 221 matches for the San Sebastián-based club. On the international stage, he has made 17 appearances for Spain, with whom he won the Nations League in 2023 and the European Championship in 2024.
Le Normand started six of La Roja’s seven fixtures during their triumphant journey in this summer’s tournament in Germany, missing only the semi-final clash against France through suspension.

Following the agreement reached between both clubs, Villarreal who are currently cash strapped have reached an agreement for the transfer of Alexander Sørloth, with the Rosenberg academy product inking his contract with the Madrid club until 2028.
Spending just a season with Villarreal, the 195 cm height forward undoubtedly enjoyed a spectacular season, scoring 26 goals and providing six assists in 41 matches.
Chelsea’s highly rated midfielder, Conor Gallagher is expected to complete his switch this week after failing to find a common ground with his boyhood club.
