Speaking to Maria Tikas, the two-time Ballon d’Or winner emphasized that her bond with Barça extends far beyond a professional relationship.

“My relationship with the club has always been based on trust. Everyone knows what playing here means to me — it’s not just a simple work relationship; it goes far beyond that. I’ve spent almost half my life at Barça,” Putellas said.

Putellas, who has spent more than a decade with the Catalan giants, stressed that her motivation and energy to perform at the top level remain central to her future at the club.

“I Wanted To Leave At All Cost Because I Didn’t Feel Prepared But He Insisted That I Stay”

“I’ve done 95% of my career here. It will stay that way as long as, on one hand, I still feel the motivation, energy, and daily drive to perform at the highest level and meet our goals. And on the other hand, the club feels the same way,” she added.

Meanwhile, the midfielder also spoke about Ewa Pajor’s recent injury, which forced the Polish striker off the pitch in tears. Fortunately, the injury is not considered long-term, with Pajor expected to be sidelined for between four and six weeks.

“It was a shock to see Ewa leave the pitch in tears. At least it’s not a long-term injury, although injuries are always bad. We’ll really miss her over these 4–6 weeks because we all know what she brings to the team. We hope she recovers soon,” Putellas noted.

Pajor, who joined Barcelona this summer, has quickly become a key attacking option under Jonatan Giráldez, and her temporary absence will be felt as the team continues its domestic and European campaigns.

Putellas’ comments highlight both her leadership and her enduring passion for Barcelona — a club she describes as “home” after spending almost her entire professional career in Blaugrana colours.
