Alexia Putellas Wins 2021 Ballon d’or

FC Barcelona midfielder, Alexia Putellas has been named the winner of the 2021 Ballon d’or ahead of four other Barcelona teammates.

Putellas was presented with the award at the 65th Ballon d’or ceremony by French Football Magazine.
She scored 18 league goals in 31 games as FC Barcelona Femeni won the 2020/2021 Spanish Primera Iberdrola.
She also led the Spanish side to win the Cup and the 2020/2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League as Barcelona became the first Spanish side to win the European title.
FC Barcelona defeated Barclays FA Women’s Super League (WSL) side, Chelsea FC to clinch the Champions League last season, and has won all league and Champions League games thus far this season.

FC Barcelona and Spanish midfielder, Pedri has won the Kopa Trophy for the best player in Europe under the age of 21 at the 2021 Ballon d’or ceremony on Monday.
He won the award ahead of Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala, and Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham.
Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski won the best striker of award for emerging as the top goal scorer in Europe for both club and country.
