Last month’s Carabao Cup quarterfinal match against Tottenham was the Turkey international’s most recent outing and most important match to date.
It was a horror show, which was unfortunate for Bayindir. The 26-year-old gave up four goals, including one straight off a corner kick, and did not make an impression.
Following that report, Sefa Seyrek, Bayindir’s agent, spoke with Sports Digitale on his client’s future. “Altay had offers from many European clubs last summer,” Seyrek explained. “There are currently clubs that are interested, but Altay wants to stay and play in Manchester. The club definitely does not want to lose Altay.”
According to his remarks, there won’t be any changes made to United’s goalkeeping staff until the summer, when Bayindir’s contract expires.

Onana, who United paid a whopping sum of £47 million to acquire from Inter Milan in 2023, still has three-and-a-half-year left on his contract, while veteran custodian Tom Heaton’s deal ends in June.
After Bayindir’s poor performance in United’s devastating 4-3 loss to Tottenham, Amorim stood up for the former Fenerbahce player when questioned if he had apologised to his teammates in the locker room. “No, he doesn’t have to do that,” the United boss, who reinstalled Onana for the next Premier League game, stated.
“He has to focus. We will see the game, and we will improve every player of this team. We win together, lose together. It is not the individual; it is the team.”
