Anouk Dekker joins SC Braga from Montpellier

After spending six seasons with the French D1 Archema Women’s side, Montpellier, Dutch player, Anouk Dekker has joined Portuguese Liga BPI league side, SC Braga.

The utility player was unveiled by her new Club on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 and should be ready for action when the new Women’s Championship season kicks off.

Anouk Dekker, 34, on her Twitter handle showed her resolve ahead of the new challenge. “Ready for this new challenge and I can’t wait to start! Let’s go Gverreiras.” She tweeted after her switch. The former FFC Heike Rheine and FC Twente player was part of the Netherlands women’s side that won the 2017 UEFA Women’s Championship.

She was also part of the Netherlands side that reached the final of France 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, losing the final to the United States of America Women National Team (USWNT).

The experienced player will be bringing a long year of professionalism to SC Braga in a bid to help his new side reclaim the Portuguese Liga BPI Women’s League title from Christy Ucheibe’s SL Benfica.
