According to reports from Italy, Lazio midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is said to be open to the idea of moving to the Emirates stadium after initially rejecting the idea. Italian football journalist Giulio Cardone has provided a major update on a potential move to Arsenal.

He claims the north Londoners attempted to sign Milinkovic-Savic in the summer but the player wasn’t interested at that time. However, he is now open to the transfer following Arsenal’s strong start to the season.

Cardone says Milinkovic-Savic would consider a move if a fair proposal was put on the table. His agent, and former Chelsea striker, Mateja Kezman is already scouring Europe for offers for his client.

The journalist suggests a deal may not happen until the summer for Milinkovic-Savic as he’s still contracted to Lazio until the summer of 2024:

“Arsenal on Milinkovic? The news is that the player has changed his opinion on the English club which already tried to approach him last summer. If a fair proposal were to arrive this time, he would consider it.” He said

“Today the Gunners are dominating the Premier League, they will go to the Champions League, they have started a fascinating project, they have acquired a different appeal.

Agent Kezman has been probing various clubs for some time to then bring offers to Lazio. “In the summer he had garnered serious interest from the London club and Newcastle. Situations declined, but things could change next summer. It will be an important push and pull.” He further added.

Italian giants, Juventus are also very much interested, but with their recent travails, they would present a less appealing destination for the Serbian midfielder who was among the Serbian team that went to Qatar and got knocked out in the group stage of the competition.

Meanwhile…

EPL side, Wolves are expected to make a move for Spanish midfielder, Isco during the January transfer window, on the urging of their new coach, Julien Lopetegui as he looks to mould the team to his liking.

The pair were united at the start of this season at Sevilla when Isco left Real Madrid, but that was cut short as Lopetegui was recently snapped up by the English side. Since then, Isco has found himself playing less under new coach Jorge Sampaoli. Matters worsened on his return to the team after their World Cup break.

Left out of Sevilla’s two friendlies, Isco had a fiery argument with Sporting Director Monchi, which appears to have sealed his fate. According to reports, Italian sides, Napoli and Juventus are also interested but the presence of Lopetegui could help push the player towards Wolves as EPL side, Aston Villa are also said to be interested.
