Barcelona pair, Raphinha and Ferran Torres have now emerged as the new target by the EPL league leaders. While Raphinha would have preferred to have a much better playing time since making the switch from Leeds United to Spain, the Brazilian will rather stay at the club than move so early on, as he rejected the chance to join Chelsea before sealing the move to Camp Nou.
Arsenal had also explored the possibility of signing Raphinha in the summer but the Brazil international was holding out for a move to Barcelona and eventually joined the La Liga club in a £55m deal last July.
While the move for Ferran Torres also appears to be heading in the same direction as the player wants to stay and fight for his place at the club, Arsenal feel like they can convince him to move instead.
Due to Barcelona’s financial situation and their early knockout from the UEFA Champions League, the Blaugrana could be forced into sacrificing one major player and Torres looks like the ideal candidate.
Torres only joined Barcelona from Manchester City in January of last year and he is not really interested in leaving the Spanish League leaders just yet. Arsenal would seemingly have to give Torres an offer he simply he couldn’t refuse if they hope to get their target before the Winter transfer window closes in about two weeks time.
Torres can play in position upfront and also at as an attacking midfielder, giving Mikel Arteta plenty of options and his experience with Manchester City will also come handy as the Gunners continue their title push after another positive result at the weekend stretched their lead at the top of the table.

Chelsea are preparing to make a move for PSV winger, Noni Madueke as they look to bring in more players to help their top four chase. The Blues have already made five new signings in the January transfer window with Mudryk, Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos, David Datro Fofana and Joao Felix.
