Arsenal Make Official Bid For Belgian Starlet

Arsenal are getting closer to an agreement for Anderlecht’s Belgian midfielder, Albert Sambi Lokonga according to reliable transfer market journalist, Fabrizio Romano.

Mikel Arteta is looking to add fresh legs to Arsenal’s midfield following the return of Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos to their parent club, Real Madrid.

The future of French starlet, Matteo Guendouzi also remains in the balance. Despite rumors of a contract offer from the Gunners, it is believed that the 22-year-old wants out of the club. If contracts talks do not progress as expected, the London based club could be forced to sell the youngster whose contract runs out in 2022.

Romano reports that Arsenal’s official bid to Anderlecht for Lokonga is €17.5 million plus add-ons that could reach up to €4.5 million. The deal is believed to include a sell-on clause in favour of the Belgian club, which is yet to be agreed upon, with the Pro League club looking to hold 15% of his future sale.

Personal terms have been sorted out but the details of the agreement remains to be known.
