Aston Villa, who have managed to cling onto Luiz in the meanwhile, are said to have rejected as many as three proposals from Arsenal. But ahead of the 2024–25 season, Arsenal is reportedly getting ready to step up their pursuit of Luiz, per the Daily Mail.

With 38 appearances in all competitions this season, Luiz has contributed five assists and 10 goals, making him a vital member of Unai Emery’s squad.

Arsenal has finally taken notice of the Brazilian’s remarkable play and may need to boost their engine room during the summer transfer window. The futures of several midfielders for Arsenal, such as Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny, are unknown.

Due to his ongoing injury problems, the Gunners intend to let Partey go this summer, and Elneny will probably go when his contract expires at the end of the year.

Jorginho’s contract expires in the summer, but it’s anticipated that Arsenal will start negotiations to keep the Italian player in North London. Nevertheless, the Gunners may choose to make a move for Luiz, who has a contract through June 2026, given that at least two midfielders are expected to go.
