Following his first-team debut in 2020, the 22-year-old has established himself as a vital member at the core of Sporting’s defense.

Inacio has been thoroughly scouted by Liverpool in recent months, while Manchester United has also shortlisted the Portugal international for center back. However, Arsenal is “tightening their siege” on signing Inacio ahead of their Premier League rivals, according to the Portuguese daily A Bola.

According to the report, Arsenal is willing to pay the transfer cost for the left-sided center-back during the January transfer window, even if they are already aware of the €60 million (£51.5 million) release clause in his contract with Sporting.

Sporting is already planning to replace Inacio, and they have set their sights on Otavio, a center defender from Famalicao who transferred to Portugal from Flamengo last year.

In the meantime, Arsenal have been searching for a new left-sided central defender to compete with Gabriel Magalhaes and partner with William Saliba.

Erik ten Hag is anxious to prevent Jadon Sancho from making a “empty gesture,” therefore Manchester United is apparently willing to accept a “significant loss” on him.

Sancho has a disruptive impact on the rest of United’s team, according to manager Ten Hag, who is determined to get rid of the winger.

This season, Sancho and Ten Hag had a nasty falling out, with the Dutchman publicly criticizing his player in the media for his lack of effort in practice. After spending £73 million on him in 2021, United is now willing to suffer a “significant loss” on the player in the January transfer window.
