The Gunners’ depth is being pushed to the limit as two more players joined the injury list, including a fresh knee concern sustained during their midweek cup tie.
According to Sky Sports News, Arsenal’s injury woes have deepened with Piero Hincapie and Gabriel Martinelli joining the sidelines following recent Premier League matches.
Piero Hincapie suffered a shoulder injury during the victory over Everton, which resulted in him being left out of the squad for the subsequent game against Crystal Palace.
Gabriel Martinelli was substituted during the second half of Tuesday’s match after taking a significant blow to the knee. Mikel Arteta noted that although Martinelli tried to persevere and stay on the pitch, the discomfort eventually became too severe for him to remain in the game.

“Martinelli is more a knock, and he wasn’t comfortable to carry on after the second half,” said Arteta after Tuesday’s game.“With Piero, something different because he picked up a injury against Everton.”
Hincapie’s absence has triggered a tactical shift, moving Riccardo Calafiori to center-back to partner William Saliba. His injury further depletes a backline already missing Gabriel Magalhaes, Ben White, and Cristhian Mosquera.
This shortage of senior defenders has forced Mikel Arteta to call up 16-year-old Marli Salmon to the bench. Although Kai Havertz’s return to training bolsters the attack, the defensive vacuum remains a primary worry for the staff.
