Martinez is expected to be available for a transfer, but securing him won’t be easy. Atletico Madrid, who have a long-standing interest in the Argentine goalkeeper, are also keen on signing him.

Diego Simeone, even reportedly contacted Martinez after the 2022 World Cup, though no formal offer was made at the time. This sets up a potentially intense transfer battle between the clubs for Martinez’s signature.
