Aston Villa’s Bold Bid? Emery Linked With £51m-Rated “Terrifying” Striker
Written By Albert Echatah
Aston Villa haven’t made any significant moves in the summer transfer window so far.
More Details
This is largely due to early concerns about Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR), which restricted the club’s ability to spend and led to speculation that many key players might leave.

It’s good news that Aston Villa hasn’t lost any key players yet, despite ongoing rumors that Ollie Watkins might leave and that Chelsea is interested in Morgan Rogers.
However, Villa might soon need to accept that they could lose a star player, especially if they want to sign a new attacker before the September transfer deadline.
Losing Ollie Watkins would be a significant blow for Unai Emery and Aston Villa, especially given that the England international scored an impressive 16 Premier League goals in just 31 starts last season.
However, Villa seems to be exploring their options for a replacement, with reports suggesting they are considering signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a free agent and also have former Arsenal forward Mika Biereth on their radar.

Aston Villa is reportedly interested in RB Leipzig forward Lois Openda, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
Villa’s interest in the Belgian attacker has been ongoing for several months, with communication already established between the two clubs. However, for this transfer to materialize, Villa would likely need to sell their current striker, Ollie Watkins.
Aston Villa is well aware of Openda’s talent, as the 25-year-old scored against Emery’s team in the Champions League last season. They see him as a worthwhile gamble, especially if he can develop into a prolific striker like Alexander Isak for the Spanish side.
