The ambitious MLS club is searching for a marquee center-forward to enhance their roster as they prepare for the upcoming season, which begins in February, with two designated player spots still free.
According to recent Portuguese media, a dispute over the transfer fee has caused talks with Benfica on Brazilian attacker Arthur Cabral to stall.
Furuhashi is reportedly still very much on Atlanta’s radar as they try to assemble a strong team. The club’s intention to improve their performance and visibility in the league is evident in the recent hiring of former Celtic manager Ronny Deila as head coach.
