Bale out until next year

Gareth Bale is expected to be out for a few weeks after he was diagnosed with a calf injury.
The 31-year old Welsh winger sustained the injury in Tottenham’s 3-1 Carabao Cup victory against Stoke City last week.
Tottenham manager, Jose Mourinho confirmed the report during his pre-match press conference ahead of his side’s Premier League meeting with fellow London based club, Fulham.
“I don’t expect him to be fit [for the Fulham game]”, Mourinho said. “I would not say it is serious but I would say a few weeks.”
Bale will miss Tottenham’s match with Fulham on Wednesday and is also expected to be unavailable for the Premier League games against Leeds United (Home) and Aston Villa (Away) in the new year. The FA Cup tie away to Marine FC and the Carabao Cup Semifinal fixture versus Brentford will also be missed.
Bale joins, Carlos Vinicius – who is on loan from Benfica – and Lucas Moura on Tottenham’s injury list as both players are expected to miss the Fulham game.
