Aguero, who joined Barcelona as a free agent from Manchester City in the last summer transfer window, played just four games for the Catalans as he missed a better part of the start of the season due to injury.

He had to be substituted in the match against Alaves before he was diagnosed with a heart condition (Cardiac Arrhythmia). “There is a ceremony on Wednesday wherein Aguero will announce that he’s retiring from football,” Emilio Perez de Rosas told Marca.

“It seems that it was decided a few weeks ago, as the journalist Gerard Romero had said. But Rafa Yuste denied it and said there were still a couple of months left before doctors would decide. “But, according to my information, Barcelona have prepared his farewell.” He further added.
