With the financial difficulties continuing to plague Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez’s side are unlikely to want to lose any of their key performers this winter as they look to pursue silverware for a second straight season as they try to keep hold of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.

Additionally, Sport have also reported that after Al Abha came with €150m for Lewandowski in the summer and were knocked back by both club and player, the Saudi Arabia club will again try for his signature as the January window is the offseason for the MLS clubs too, but it is hard to imagine the Polish striker being allowed out the door before the end of the season.

The 34-year-old has six goals and four assists this season, and is still a crucial factor for the Blaugrana.

Manchester United are reportedly lining up a World Cup-winning midfield reinforcement after Casemiro‘s recent injury as called by Estadio Deportivo with Erik ten Hag‘s side considering a swoop for Real Betis anchorman Guido Rodriguez who was part of Argentina’s World Cup winning squad last December and will be out of contract next summer, allowing him to negotiate a future deal from January.

Rodriguez is a key player for the LaLiga outfit and has featured in 11 of their first 12 games which have seen the side make a steady start to the campaign to sit in sixth place.

The defensive midfielder would compliment Ten Hag’s options which currently include the likes of Christian Eriksen, Mason Mount and Scott McTominay and summer recruit Sofyan Amrabat.
