They were, however, disqualified from the Copa de la Reina despite winning their most recent match over Osasuna, 9-0.

The issue stems from fielding an ineligible player, Geyse Ferreira, in the win.

Ferreira should not have been able to play after receiving a red card in the competition last season.

The suspension will cost the Catalans a chance at their fourth straight Copa de la Reina title, and despite the heavy loss, Osasuna advances in their stead.
