With domestic football in Europe about to begin, the transfer market continues to expand.

More Details

Barcelona agreed to a record-breaking transfer deal Wednesday with Manchester City and England international Keira Walsh.

The transfer fee is around £400,000, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Sport’s Emma Sanders reported.

That total far exceeds previous records set in the women’s football transfer market.

Chelsea set it previously when the club paid £250,000 to acquire Pernille Harder from VfL Wolfsburg in 2020.

The San Diego Wave acquired Alex Morgan for a comparable $275,000 and the rights to Angharad James in December 2021.
