If Barcelona wants to sign Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, they will need to find a creative way to achieve it. The Senegalese appears to be beyond Barcelona’s means, as he is expected to be among the more sought-after talents this summer.

Sporting Director Deco has placed a €40 million spending cap on Onana, even if it seems that the 22-year-old is preferred to fill the void at the base of Barcelona’s midfield. Sport, however, claims that Everton has informed him that they would not sell for €40 million plus contingencies and have directed Barcelona to the €60 million asking price.
