Barcelona are considering loaning out Brazilian striker, Coutinho in January after a series of unconvincing display this season.

Barcelona signed him from Liverpool in 2018 but failed to make any meaningful impact at the Camp Nou. He rather had success elsewhere, winning the UEFA Champions League with Bayern Munich while he was on loan from Barcelona.

He has since returned to Barcelona and has just returned from a long term injury. While the Blaugrana were going through financial difficulties, they were looking to sell some players in the squad and Coutinho was one of those earmarked but no club came forward as he was injured and his wage was another stumbling block as he’s reported to be earning around €200,000 per week.

Since his return from injury, the Brazilian international has played a bit part role in the opening weeks of the 2021/22 campaign but Barcelona are still looking to sell the 29-year-old and with January fast approaching, the club will be looking for potential buyers who will be able to pay half of his wage for a six-month loan deal and England has been mentioned as his most likely destination with London sides, Arsenal and Tottenham set to battle for his signature.

While the club would prefer to include a clause for a permanent purchase in any deal, under certain conditions, no club will be willing to pay his current wages unless he takes a significant wage cut in case of a permanent transfer.

The player on the other hand would be keen to prove himself at the Camp Nou but with the patience of the club running thin, he might reconsider and go out on loan just like he went to Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile…

Barcelona are said to be planning to sign another player from Las Palmas, after the success of their purchase of Pedri from the same club. La Blaugrana agreed a €5m deal for Pedri in 2019 before allowing him to return to the club on a season long loan in 2019/20.

However, on his eventual arrival in Catalonia, he immediately established himself as a key player for club and country in the last 12 months. According to reports, club scouts are tracking highly rated midfield star Alberto Moleiro, from the club’s Juvenil A side.

Following his meteoric elevation, which has placed him (Pedri) as one of the best teenage midfielders in world football and Barcelona are exploring the option of signing the next product (Alberto Moleiro) from Las Palmas. Moleiro has already been promoted into the first team this season with a senior debut for the club in the lower division.
