Barcelona Maintain Spanish League Dominance With Fourth Straight Title

FC Barcelona on Sunday claimed its fourth straight league title with a 3-0 win against Huelva at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, Sant Johan Despi.

It took 39 minutes for the Catalan side to break the defence of the visitors as Laia Codina scored the opener.
The goal was the solitary strike of the half before Jana Fernandez made it 2-0 in the 63rd minute.
Asisat Oshoala scored the third goal in the 89th minute to cement Jonatan Giraldez’s side dominance in the Spanish Liga F.
The game marked the return of captain, Alexia Putellas who replaced Claudia Pina in the 73rd minute after a long-term injury layoff which ruled her out of the 2022 UEFA Women’s Euro.
The triumph meant Barcelona won the last four Spanish league titles.
With six games to the end of the league, Barcelona had won all 26 games, scoring 108 goals and chipping in five goals.

A 2-1 win on aggregate against Chelsea FC Women in the semi-final saw the team getting to the final for the fourth time in the last five seasons.
The team will face the winner of Monday’s semi-final return leg match between Arsenal and Wolfsburg.
The first leg ended in a 2-2 draw in Germany.
