Truth be told, the transfer of Haaland has always seem way too costly for the club, hence they’ve dedicated much of their efforts towards signing Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski instead.

But Bayern Munich aren’t ready to loss their top scorer yet as his contract with the club expires in 2023 while the player has his heart set on a move to Barcelona as he looks to take another step in his illustrious career.

Zahavi (Lewandowski’s agent) met with Bayern’s hierarchy to convey his client’s desire to leave this summer for Barcelona, but the German club responded by offering him a contract renewal.

Bayern told Zahavi that they have no intention of selling Lewandowski this summer. His contract expires in 2023 and they’d rather lose him on a free than part ways with his now. It should be recalled that the Bavarians took similar stand with David Alaba, before letting him join Real Madrid for free last year.

At this point, it looks like Barcelona will have to offer a huge amount if they want to sign the Polish striker who has scored 33 goals in 31 League appearances this season.

Meanwhile…

Barcelona have been told how much they have to pay to sign Celta Vigo defender, Javi Galan, who is also attracting interest from some English Premier League clubs.

Barcelona want to sign the player as they look to add depth to their squad and he is expected to serve as backup to Jordi Alba but he’s going to cost the Blaugrana about €18 million in transfer fee.

While the Catalans will have some trouble in paying the quoted fee, the player could move to England where the likes of Leicester and West Ham are said to be monitoring the 26-years old.
