Jorginho will be a hot item in the summer transfer window, according to a report from La Repubblica, as carried by Get Italian Football News. Barcelona, PSG, Juventus, and AC Milan are all interested in signing the Chelsea midfield maestro.
Following Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge, Jorginho joined Chelsea from Napoli in July 2018. However, the Italian international did not have a good start to his time with the Blues, as he struggled in his first season. Jorginho, on the other hand, has had his greatest season at Chelsea since Maurizio Sarri departed the club in 2019, flourishing under Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea’s midfield maestro has improved dramatically over the last three years, with nine goals and four assists in 40 appearances across all competitions this season. However, Jorginho’s future at Chelsea is unknown, as his contract expires in just over a year. Barcelona and PSG, among others, have taken notice of the situation.
Barcelona’s interest is surprising, given that Franck Kessie is on his way to joining them on a free transfer. With Kessie’s arrival, Xavi Hernandez will have a plethora of top-tier midfielders to choose from, negating the need for Barcelona to recruit Jorginho.
Apart from Barcelona and PSG, Juventus and AC Milan are also vying for Jorginho, with the former taking steps to secure the services of the Chelsea midfield maestro. But the Italian international’s wage demands could scupper the hopes of Juventus, Milan and Barcelona, leaving PSG are the front-runner in his pursuit.

Meanwhile…
Big news for Barcelona ahead of their crucial Europa League quarterfinal second leg against Eintracht Frankfurt as Sergiño Dest and Memphis Depay have been medically cleared and named in Xavi Hernández’s squad for Thursday’s game at Camp Nou.
Dest’s return is especially crucial given Barça will be without Dani Alves who is not available for the Europa League, and the American will be in contention to start at right-back which will be a big boost to a Barça defense still missing Gerard Piqué.
Speaking of Piqué, the center-back has been included in the 24-man squad but hasn’t been given the medical green light yet, and footage from Wednesday’s training session didn’t do much to improve his chances of being fit enough for Thursday.
