For the coming summer transfer window, Spanish La Liga sides are gearing up to strengthen their team and remain competitive both in the domestic front and in Europe, hence they all have targets that they have mapped out for them to acquire when the transfer window opens.

For Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe remains their number one target and their transfer window will depend on if they’re able to bring the French striker to the club or not.

For Barcelona, signing Erling Haaland is their main target but, there is host of other clubs interested in the player too. As it’s the usual practice, clubs usually have other options lined up Incase they fail to land their primary target and in the case of Haaland to Barcelona.
The club are said to be prepared for shocking move in the transfer market if they fail to sign the Norwegian striker with their former player Lionel Messi as a possible target.
Messi, left the club at the start of the season as a free agent due to financial constraints of the club and his exit may have been the major reason why the Catalans struggled at the start of the season.
While the Argentine is still a fans favorite at the Camp Nou, his return may likely disrupt the present harmony in the Barcelona squad that Xavi Hernandez, who played alongside Lionel Messi during one of Barcelona’s glory has managed to bring since his appointment in June.
The transfer may sound absurd, but Spanish Journalist, Sique Rodriguez was optimistic that the club will move Messi if they fail to land Haaland. “Soon, news will appear about Messi’s return in the summer, especially if Haaland does not come,” the Spanish journalist said.
Meanwhile…
Barcelona are hot on the trail of Ajax defender, Noussair Mazraoui as a possible acquisition for the summer transfer window and he could possibly arrive on a free transfer. With a contract that expires in June, the player doesn’t look like he would renew with the Dutch side and a transfer is the line.

Barcelona on their part are ready to part ways with Sergino Dest, leaving just Dani Alves as their only natural option in the right-back role, paving the way for Mazraoui to join the team in the summer while Sergi Roberto can also play in that position when the need arises.
The 24-year-old Moroccan international came through the youth ranks at the club and has grown into an ever-present on the right side of the defence for the Dutch giants over the past few seasons. Since he shares the same agent with Haaland (Mino Raiola) the Catalans can negotiate for him and Haaland together.
