He wants the same contract that was given to Kalidou Koulibaly when he joined the club (3years contract with an option for another year, while the club is only willing to offer their usual 1 year contract to the player as he’s over 30 years of age).

Chelsea on their part aren’t too keen to keep him either, hence, the player looks set to leave the club when his contract expires in 2023 and the player’s agent is already offering his clients to other top European clubs, with varying degrees of success.

For Spanish La Liga side, Barcelona, they’ve reportedly rejected the idea of signing his teammate, Jorginho and would probably do the same for Kante, as they want to keep their faith in Frenkie De Jong when Sergio Busquets eventually leaves the club.

Also given Kante’s recent struggles with injuries, it seem like a risky adventure to take. He has been excellent for the Blues since joining from Leicester City in 2016 but has struggled with injuries recently, especially last season.

A move to France could be in the card while two other unnamed EPL clubs are also said to be interested, with one of them definitely Newcastle United.

Barcelona tried to sign Brazilian defender, Vanderson from French club, AS Monaco, but we’re put off by the hus huge price tag of €50 million and they will probably not be making another move for him next summer, but a move in the future shouldn’t be entirely ruled out.

The player is contract to Monaco until 2027, hence it would require a huge bid to sign him currently as Monaco don’t want to lose another top player after selling Aurelien Tchouameni to Real Madrid.

Vanderson is having a solid campaign in France as he has managed to put in a series of impressive displays on the right side of Monaco’s backline and this is what attracted the interest of Barcelona in the first place.
