Barcelona Set For More Economic Boost, Already Have A Replacement For De Jong Lined Up

Since the start of the transfer market, the issues surrounding Barcelona and their poor financial state has been well publicized, which prevented them from registering the players that they’ve already signed and also unable to sign their transfer targets.

Earlier this month, the Barcelona assembly approved the motion to sell a quarter of the club’s TV rights deal in an attempt to generate revenue. Simultaneously, the assembly also approved the sale of 49.9% of BLM.

The club could be in for more revenues as they attempt to sell at least 10% of their TV rights by Thursday, so it can be included in this year’s financial reports. The sale of TV rights is expected to generate significant revenue.
The report suggests Barça are set to reach an agreement with Sixth Street, an American investment group. They will pay €205 million for 10% of the TV rights, which will help Barcelona close the 2021/22 season with profits.
The list of other suitors include global banking giants Goldman Sachs, along with other financial behemoths. But with just one week remaining before Barça kickstart their training for the new season, the club are certainly running out of time.
The club is now expected to move from being in red to financial freedom and subsequently move forward in the transfer market. Top on their list is Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski and the club have already seen their first bid rejected.
They will soon submit a second bid while they look to bolster the left side of their attack with the option of either renewing Ousmane Dembele’s contract or buying Brazilian winger, Raphinha from Leeds United.

Barcelona are said to be close to reaching an agreement with Manchester United to sell Dutch midfielder, Frenkie De Jong and according to reports, they already have a replacement lined up.
Valencia midfielder, Carlos Soler is set to leave the club this summer as the Los Che have already handpick him as the player that would be sacrificed to help the club financially, a decision that didn’t go down well with their former coach, before he was subsequently replaced by Gennaro Gattuso.

United will offer €85 million for de Jong, including variables, which meets Barcelona’s quoted price, who are said to have already agreed to sign Soler for a €20 million fee.
Their Coach, Xavi believes that Bernardo is the better for Barça, and could recreate a Xavi-Iniesta level of understanding with Pedri in midfield. It is still unclear if they would be making a move for the Portuguese later or not.
