In the case of the Spanish defender, he’s above 30 years of age and his move to the Camp Nou is much dependent on Chelsea, hence the Blaugrana are said to be looking at other options. Brazilian defender, Dodo, who plays for Shakhtar Donestk in Ukraine is the name that is now floating around in the club.
He plays as a right-back and has been dubbed as the ‘new Dani Alves’ following his excellent performances in Ukraine. He excels in going forward and is technically astute enough to thrive in La Liga. Since joining the club in 2018, Dodo has made almost 100 competitive appearances for Shakhtar, registering 17 assists while scoring five goals.
He also has experience playing in European competitions as Shakhtar have played in the UEFA Champions League for the past few seasons and this experience could come handy. The player is comfortable with his current club but the war between Ukraine and Russia has unsettled many football players in the country, especially the foreign players, who are already leaving in their numbers.
Barcelona are not the only club interested in signing him, as Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also looking to sign the player, but the opportunity to learn under the great Dani Alves could be the biggest motivator for the player.

Barcelona have officially sold their striker, Ferran Jutgla to Belgian side, Club Brugge for a fee of €5 million while also retaining a 10% on his future sales by the club. The 23-year-old forward had signed for the Blaugrana only last summer, arriving on a free transfer from local rivals Espanyol.

He enjoyed an impressive campaign with Barça’s B team, finishing as the top scorer, bagging 19 goals in 32 matches, while also setting up six more and also got a brief run in the Barcelona senior setup towards the end of 2021.
The versatile forward made a decent impact under Xavi’s tutelage, scoring twice in eight matches. Jutgla has signed a four-year deal with Brugge, committing his future to the club until 2026.
