Spanish Champions, FC Barcelona has “thrown everything” at Barclays English FA Women’s Super League (WSL) side, Manchester City in the hopes of signing Keira Walsh.

According to Sport, the English player wants to play for Barça next season. Manchester City rejected the initial offer, but after their 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) Qualifiers, FC Barcelona feels confident of a deal.
A 15th-minute goal from Caroline Weir off Esther Gonzalez Rodriguez’s assist on Sunday ensured that Manchester City will take no part in the 2022/2023 UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The midfielder scored a goal with three assists for Manchester last season in the WSL as the Manchester side ended the season in the third position which qualified the team for the UWCL Qualifiers.
She also bagged an assist in six games as Manchester City clinched the Continental Tyres Women’s League Cup defeating Chelsea FC Women 3-1 in the final.
