With the loan move of Coutinho to Aston Villa till the end of the season, the Blaugrana are looking to bring in a quality replacement and have set their sight on another Brazilian, Oscar, who plays in China as most likely to fit into the team tactically and also be within their financial reach.

According to Brazilian journalist, Marcelo Bechler, the Blaugrana are interested in the former Chelsea player who currently plays for Shanghai Port, a club he has been with since 2017 and still has two more years left on his current contract with the club.

The 30-years old, who was with Chelsea from 2012 until 2017 when he joined his current side might be tempted by the prospect of returning to the European scenes after leaving the Blues but he wouldn’t come cheap, especially if his club don’t want to sell but could be persuaded if the player really wants the move and Barcelona manage to include a player to sweeten the deal.

Meanwhile…

Barcelona could have the duo of Ferran Torres and Pedri available for their semi-final fixture against Real Madrid, which is billed to take place in Saudi Arabia.

Both of them didn’t travel with the main team to Riyadh as while Torres, wasn’t initially registered to play for the club, the issue has now been cleared and he has been given the green light.

Right ontop of that, both of them had tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday but they have since tested negative and they will now join their teammates on a separate flight today (Tuesday). Both players will undergo late fitness tests to see if they can play in the Real Madrid clash.

Barcelona coach, Xavi Hernandez might not want to risk them though, given that they just returned from months of injury lay off but they could make an appearance at some point in the match against their arch rival.
