Barkley May Have Played Himself Out of Tuchel’s Team

Chelsea played a two all draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night and conspicuously missing in action was £15m import from Everton Ross Barkley who might have failed to impress the German coach in previous games.
Chelsea boss Tuchel faced questions about Ross Barkley after the game and he gave a damning assessment of the midfielder according to BBC.“
Ross had his chance to play one half against Arsenal, the same as Danny Drinkwater,” said the Blues boss.
“We had the impression that Ruben (Loftus-Cheek) deserves to be on the pitch today again and we wanted to give (Tiemoue) Bakayoko the chance to play for the first time under us.”
“Maybe it’s unfair to judge them because we don’t know them very well but at least everybody has had the chance to show up in a game. So, it was a matter of selection.

“We played some friendlies against Bournemouth and Peterborough with Ross and Danny so we had a clear picture of those guys.
“We wanted to see Baka on the field to see what he is capable of.”
The German tactician seems to have had a clear view of where Barkley’s future lies and that seems to be away from the Bridge.
With one week away from the UEFA super cup against Villarreal Tuchel seems to be putting final touches to his team and it seems though only players that made the list for Wednesday’s game against Spurs would most probably be in his new season’s plans.
