The 26 year old is currently plying his trade in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich but has said he would one day like to test himself in the land of the Calcio.

Pavard revealed that his national teammate Olivier Giroud has also told him about the interesting derbies and how much Italians live for football.

“Olivier always tells me Italy is a country that lives 100% for calcio.

“He told me about the magic of the derbies, the big celebrations of their fans for the Scudetto.

“I’d really like to one day play with him also because he’s a great friend. We’ll see.” He said while speaking to Gazzetta.

“Serie A is very interesting not just because I’m a defender, but because it’s a very open league just as it’s been told to me by my friends Giroud, Rabiot and Theo.”

“Just look at the battle between Napoli and Milan. And with Inter they’ve never been easy to play against in UCL.

“Juventus is rebuilding and soon they’ll be back to their level in Europe.” He concluded.

Pavard moved to Stuttgart in Germany in 2016 after shining for Lille and was signed by Bayern in 2019 just after the World Cup where he shone for Les Blues.
