More Details

Given that the 20-time English champions’ contract with the former France international is set to expire at the end of the 2023–24 season, there is now a great deal of conjecture regarding his future.

Varane was recently out of the starting lineup at Old Trafford, but on December 12 against Bayern Munich, he was added back to the team and has since started games against Liverpool and Aston Villa.

The 30-year-old is reportedly attracting interest from several Saudi Arabian teams, although a recent source stated that Varane was not interested in joining the Saudi Pro League in January.

Bayern is presently in the lead to sign him, according to Football Insider, and the Bundesliga powerhouses are anticipated to make an offer during the January transfer window.

According to the report, with Kim Min-jae representing South Korea at the Asian Cup, the German team is set to sign a new center-back in January. Varane’s contract has an extra year still on it, which Man United may exercise if they decide to sell him during the summer transfer window of the following year.

Meanwhile…

Erik ten Hag is anxious to prevent Jadon Sancho from making a “empty gesture,” therefore Manchester United is apparently willing to accept a “significant loss” on him.

Sancho has a disruptive impact on the rest of United’s team, according to manager Ten Hag, who is determined to get rid of the winger.

This season, Sancho and Ten Hag had a nasty falling out, with the Dutchman publicly criticizing his player in the media for his lack of effort in practice. After spending £73 million on him in 2021, United is now willing to suffer a “significant loss” on the player in the January transfer window.
