Benjamin Pavard Continues To Push For Inter Milan Move As AC Milan Eye Iranian Striker

It’s no longer news that Inter Milan are trying to sign Bayern Munich defender, Benjamin Pavard and have already reached an agreement with the player over personal terms, pending when they’re able to reach an agreement with his club before the move happens.

On that front, there’s a conflicting report. While Inter had presented an offer, it was deemed unworthy and they soon returned with another offer with some sources quoting €30m plus bonuses while others have €35m plus bonuses, but they all seem to agree that the new offer is €5m short of Bayern Munich value.
For the moment, there’s no report yet on the Bavarians response to this new offer, with some sources claiming that the Bavarians have rejected the offer and are prepared to keep the player and even offer him a new contract to keep him at the club.

Others are saying that Bayern have yet to respond to this new offer, but one thing is clear, the player is very much keen on the move and he has dropped several hints to that effect. The Frenchman continues to flirt with Inter, hoping to force his move. According to a new report, the player liked the Italians’ Instagram post presenting tonight’s game against Monza.
Inter published an Instagram post in a build-up to Saturday’s Serie A curtain-raising fixture against Monza. It’s hardly a coincidence Pavard hit the like button. It’s more likely he tried to send a message to Bayern that he wants out. Further, Pavard wasn’t in the starting lineup yesterday night as Bayern thumped Werder Bremen 4-0 on Harry Kane’s Bundesliga debut.
But the Germans continue to play a hard bargain over the Frenchman’s sale. Despite seeing their opening offer turned down, Inter remain hopeful of striking a deal at the halfway point and they’re hopeful that their second offer would be accepted or at least considered.
Especially now that Pavard has shown his preference. The ex-Stuttgart defender seems poised to embark on a career in Serie A. His main issue has been with his position in the team.
While Tuchel has preferred to play him in the right-back, he would be playing as a central defender in a 3-man defense should he join Inter Milan and that is said to be his most preferred position (centre-back). It is expected that the situation will become clearer by next week, but the Nerazzurri aren’t putting all of their hopes on Pavard, as pointed out by their coach recently.
Torino defender, Perr Schuurs is seen as an alternative and the Inter management have opened talks for him when they concluded the deal to sell Valentino Lazaro to the Granata.

Meanwhile…
Inter city neighbors and rival, AC Milan are looking for a striker on the market and they have been linked with several players over the last few weeks. The latest name is Iranian forward, Sardar Azmoun, who reportedly already has an agreement with the club.
The Rossoneri wants to send out Lorenzo Colombo out on another loan spell for this season to gain more first team experience and play regularly with Monza said to be his most likely destination. But they are expected to sign a striker before the window closes, one who can compete with Olivier Giroud upfront.

Azmoun currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen and according to reports, he has an agreement with Milan. The latter are thus in talks with the German side over the transfer and it remains to be seen if an agreement can be reached.
Azmoun made 33 appearances for Leverkusen last season, 12 of them from start, but found the back of the net just four times. At the age of 28, he needs to revive his career and his next destination might be Milan.
